With an anniversary trip in May, I added three new states to the map of places I've been. The thing with these maps though, is that while they show where you've been, they don't speak of all the memories you've made.
Today is my true 30th anniversary, but we took a celebration trip in May. We flew into Newark and drove to Boston, stopping at Riverside and New Haven, CT
One of my life-list goals was to see the Bronze Ducks, inspired by Robert McCloskey's picture book, Make Way for Ducklings, in the Public Gardens in Boston.
Yes, I traveled from Florida to MA to see ducks! So that's one thing off my list!
After Boston, we headed to NYC stopping at Roger Williams Park in RI and also at the Cliff Walk in Newport, RI.
I took my tripod so we could get pictures of us together.
The New England coastline has a rugged beauty of its own.
From RI we went to NYC where we spent the next few days.
These are just a few of the memories I've added to those already stored in my heart and mind.
So while the map shows where I've been, my heart holds the memories. And some of them will end up in future books.
What's your favorite travel memory?
