One day a week I watch two of my granddaughters while their mom goes to nursing school. She tells them they are going to "Gigi's school" because she wants them to do more than just play, she wants them to learn things. We do a variety of activities revolving around a theme and letter of the alphabet. (I do have a M.Ed., but this is much more fun!) We've done S-snow, B-bubbles, M-music, Z-zoo, and this past week we did C-cow.
We drove an hour to a creamery to learn what we could about cows and how the give milk. Unfortunately, we weren't there at milking time, but we did get to wander the farm and see see the cows and calves.
Uncle Ty ty has been able to go along on our excursions.
Besides interacting with the cows, the girls sat on the tractor.
And we found a perfect climbing tree.
I love how that tree photo came out.
We'd brought a picnic lunch assuming there would be chocolate milk and ice cream for sale, and of course there was.
It's fun exploring life with a 2 and 4 year old. I can't wait for our next adventure.
